"Who Are The Good Guys And Who Are The Bad Guys"
It is now 4 in the morning, and I leave to go out of town in a few
minutes. I was and am so nuts about what is going on in Congress,
that I needed to "lose my mind" by writing this. It is like most of
what I write, possibly incoherent, as I have not "messed" with it,
and will send it to a few people, and I trust that I will not offend
many.
I would write more on this, but I need to get ready to leave.
Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats are the good or bad guys,
but you wouldn't know it the way they vilified one another in the
House tonight.
I wonder if we are socialized to do this or it is genetic, or perhaps
it's a virus of sorts.
As a pacifist, I wonder about a few things concerning our latest war.
I can't help but think back to some other times in history.
Did the German occupiers refer to the members of the French
resistance as terrorists?
How do we manage to connect those people who are fighting in and for
their own country to the 9/11 terrorists?
Were the Vietnamese terrorists when they resisted both French and
then American occupation"
Did the Americans bomb Iraq and then invade and occupy THEIR country?
Don't the "Coalition of the willing" good guys continue to kill and
maim innocents?
What do the "good guys" mean when they say that we should leave Iraq
only after we have completed our mission. What is our mission?
Why are the people who are fighting an invading army (ours) called
terrorists?
Who first decided to call the Iraqis who resist our occupation insurgents?
Do the Iraqi insurgents know or understand that we are only trying to
help them establish a western style democracy?
Do the Iraqis understand that we are not interested in controlling their oil?
Don't the Iraqis understand that we only came because they threatened
us with WMD's?
What exactly do we mean when we say "we need to fight the terrorists
there so that we don't have to fight them here?
Why do I say, referring to my Air Force Korean War service that if it
weren't for me, we would all be speaking Korean?
Why do people who support this war call people who don't "cowards".
Are you a coward just because you want to end the war?
Why do these same people use the expression "cut and run" when
speaking of people who want to end the carnage?
What is this "noble cause" so many are dying for?
Sorry about sending this w/o reviewing it for "errors and omissions"
